Mia did her undergraduate at Northwestern University majoring in Biological Sciences and minoring in Data Science. She performed undergraduate research in Dr. Booki Min’s lab at the Feinberg School of Medicine, where she focused on describing how the checkpoint inhibitor Lag3 enforces T regulatory cell suppressive function through promoting oxidative phosphorylation programs. After joining the Damo Lab in 2026, she has been studying the role of the liver environment on establishing tolerance through generating T regulatory cells. Outside of lab, Mia enjoys knitting, reading, and spending time by Lake Michigan.
